In the Android Forums: Nexus 7 hard reset issues

Nexus 7 recovery

Application of Willter12 in Nexus 7 forums,

I have read that a hard reset is activated by:

Disable .cale up/low theft and power onSelect buttons recovery with theft and power press buttonAfter several minutes, screen with red triangle will be appearHold volume up and press return menu make ResetAll hard goes well til # 4. Here, I get a blank screen showing "Google" and never, it moves in the image of the red triangle and everything freezes. I waited over 20 minutes for the startup recovery menu, and nothing happens.

Have I missed a step, or something is wrong? If the recovery process on board is broken is a way to resolve the problem? I would like to have access to hard reset must something sinister evil.

Not I am not grounded nor have I tried to root and loaded only at this time apps. Everything works well, and seems to be an excellent aircraft.

Thanks for the advice....

You read right, willter12. But sometimes there is a bit of a bug and you will be unable to follow these standard guidelines with Nexus 7. Edit them with an additional step - connect the tablet in your computer. Once you are on the boot loader screen, you cannot go to recovery unless there is a connection to the USB port. Reconnecting wall will work, but the computer you use must not have the SDK or Fastboot put in place on it, it should just be turned on. Change your steps to read as follows:

Disable .maintenez up/low theft and power onPlug the tablet on the USB port on a computerSelect buttons for volume and press power buttonAfter several minutes, the screen with red triangle will be appearHold volume up to and press return to menu to make the hard resetIt that bothers, we agree. But at least it is easy enough to work around, because the computer does not require any configuration. As you mention, it is important for everyone, not only those who live to steal.
